Publishing Guidelines: All my writings may be freely published.

These are some notes that I’ve made recently (from my “red book”), which is forming the basis, the frame-work, the building-blocks for a new manuscript I’m writing. So will share with you and post extracts (hopefully regularly) on my blog as I write it. Hopefully I’ll continue getting my “daily dose of inspiration”.
“We learn far more from our tears than from our laughter.”

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that really matter.”
– Dr Martin Luther King, Jnr

“If I must choose between righteousness and peace, I choose righteousness.”
– Franklin Roosevelt

“We can all be great; because we can all serve (others in some way).”
– Mother Teresa

“Keep true to the dreams of your youth.”
– Friedrich Schiller, German writer and philosopher

“Try not to become a man (person) of success, but one of value.”
– Albert Einstein

“Those who stand up for justice will always be on the right side of history.”
– Dr Martin Luther King, Jnr

(Heed those words, President al Assad of Syria!)

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”
– Mahatma Gandhi (and Lance Armstrong –oops!)

“We are committed to the positive values found in sport:
Performance and passion, team-work and fair-play.”

The strength of spirit in the human heart. The love of God made manifest.
God’s greatest gift to us is to find our own truths.
Everyone has the capacity, the potential to manifest God’s ultimate nature.

My Thoughts on Writing
I write about the ‘essence of humanity’. I want to impel some kind of action in readers, like breaking down barriers in some small way. Religion divides; but truth unites (unity in truth). The way we live is more important than what we believe. We are all connected by the common bond of our shared humanity.
I try to show the extra-ordinary in ’ordinary’ (what’s that?) lives, as revealed by the generous spirits and the exceptional strength and courage of so many ordinary people in their daily struggles along the sometimes very hard; yet of so satisfying journey that is called life.

“I was like floating on a cloud of infinite possibilities.”
(that’s a simile, btw!)

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that really matter.”
– Dr Martin Luther King, Jnr

“I love you in the very special way that I’ve written about in these pages.”

“To all of us who believe love rules,
stand up and let it shine.”

A TRUE story of renewal and transformation: a transformation of heart. Eternal truths.
Hope for a new beginning – one not divided by the past but with hope for the future.
In a phrase, A NEW HEART.
Khatib is the Arab word (name) for writer

Themes of:
* building bridges of reconciliation (“threads of hope”)
* Truth overcomes power
* forgiveness: Forgiveness for the past, strength for today and hope for the future.
* the strength of spirit in the human heart

“The task ahead of you can always be overcome by the power within you…and the often seemingly difficult or even “impassible”) path ahead of you is never as steep with the great spirit that lies within you.”
“We have it within; but we get it all from without. There is a well-spring of strength, wisdom, courage and great imagination within each one of us;
but once we draw on this truth, it gets watered from without, by a Higher Source – the Ultimate Source of Life and Love, which is God, the very Ground of our Being.”
“Our Greatest Good is perhaps not to share our material possessions, our money and ‘riches’ with others, but through faith in other people, to so lay the foundation to reveal the rich treasure that lies within themselves.”
– craig

* the redemptive power of love
* Hope is irresistable. Plant seeds of hope: From seeds of hope to endless possibilities, far and grand horizons.”
“Together, one mind, one soul at a time, let’s see how many hearts can be transformed from hatred into love… with God’s help
(as only God can do that, but each one of us can be a channel for God’s love).
Let your spirit shine through these words.
Embrace the Light (Infinite ) and shine Your bright light on humanity

“Many small (yet significant) steps by many ‘little people with big hearts’ * will eventually reach their destination, their destiny.

“In the midst of darkness, light exists.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
However, it is a darkness that we will illuminate with our hearts.

“As we live and move and have our being, so from this vision, we create heaven in our own lives… and perhaps even heaven on earth.”
    – craig (as inspired by Acts 17:28 and the words of Felicia Searcy)
“Aim at the earth and you may not get off the ground.
“Aim at the stars and you may reach the moon.”
“Aim at heaven and you’ll have earth thrown in…
and you may even hit the stars.”
    – craig (as inspired by the famous quote by CS Lewis – 24th May 2012)

“If a man is called to be a street-sweeper,
he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted,
    or Beethoven composed music, or
    Shakespeare wrote poetry.
He should sweep streets so well
that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say,
here lived a great street sweeper
    who did his job well.”
    – Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.

Instead of trying to reply to each one of you, I’ll just keep on writing
“If the doctor told me I had six minutes to live, I’d type a little faster.”
